First Days In Melbourne...!
We all fell in love with Melbourne at first sight, it's such a nice city! This is our 4th day here, and we have alrady went to 7 different appartment inspections, and the one we (hopefully) are gonna move in to is sooooo pretty! St. Kilda (where we're now living at the hostel, and also where our apparment is placed), is such a nice area. It's a long beach with shopping, restaurants and cafes. It's perfect. And there are so many parks around here. This summer (or winter?) is gonna be a real picknick summer! Just as in Minneapolis. Oh, and the city of Melbourne itself is huge. It's such a big area of just shopping shopping and shopping. Love it!
Tomorrow I have my first interview! It's at a small cafe in St. Kidla. Things have gone so fast, it feels like we've been here for a way, but it's only a couple of days! And it feels good to know we're moving to an appartment next week, we're all tiered of living in a backpacker bag. We acctually have found 4 appartments that we are interested in. So if we dont get the first one we still have 3 more that are really really good. So after 4 days in Melbourne we foudn 4 appartments. We're good! Now we can all relax and focus more on finding jobs and just explore the city.
So life is great here down under! The weather is colder than we expected, and there is no good place to go surfing here in Melbourne. We'll have to go out from the city about 2 hours (I guess.. dont really know.. now it's to cold anyway), to get to some good surfing places.
Now I just printed out some more resumes, and are gonna walk around in the city to search for more jobs. Wish me good luck!
